This leads to wines firmly linked to the territory, to which they bear clear testimony, and wines that are, at the same time, characterised by a lively, elegant and modern style.
The choice of only using native vines for Chianti Classico, and the largest casks for the ageing, is dictated by the desire to safeguard the typicality of the wine.
Wines “made in the vineyard,” including the IGTs, which are tied to the territory of origin, are distinguished by the cleanliness and honesty of the taste, and refined techniques of wine making and ageing bestow on them complexity, elegance and subtlety.
Sangioevese is quite versatile, when processed with unusual methods; Merlot displays really special and unexpected expressions, both on its own and accompanied by Sangiovese.
