It is definitely hot, we had the latest rain on June 15 (20mm): we care about our vines, we check they do not show signs of distress, …to date they do not seem to be affected by these conditions a bit extreme. The youngest vineyards looks a little uneasy by the heat, they start showing few leaves a bit yellow, their roots are not very deep yet and do not reach the water resources accumulated in the soil during the winter and spring. The older vineyards, however, still have the spikes in growth, leaves are a bit wilted, but still green. Show no sign of stress. Here and there, at least a week earlier than usual, the grapes give the first timid evidence of veraison! Since early this year end of June we have had 240mm rain, they were well saved in the soil, because until mid-June temperatures were quite low. Every year it is a different story: in 2014, same period, we had 536mm rain!.
