Our Gran Riserva Grappa, is a Lady of a certain age… knows a lot!
Like a lady, it can be perfect and proper in many different situations. In the kitchen, to give a character to some recipes either sweet or savory; at the table, not necessarily offered to pairing a dessert, as long as the matching is balanced it makes sense, thus with fatty foods, spicy, sweet or savory they are (and as long as it does not go with the whole meal…); or traditionally after dinner. In Lombardy, it was even a custom to start the meal with a shot of grappa when cassoeula was served!
