Ultimati i lavori di manutenzione, ritocchi e migliorie nei diversi ambienti dedicati all’accoglienza - dalle camere agli appartamenti, dall’ingresso alla piscina - il nostro team ospitalità, al completo e in forma, è pronto a ripartire per la nuova stagione. The last day for chef Francesco Berardinelli in the colleague’s kitchen, at Le Montrachet. For three days Le Montrachet  proposed the most traditional Tuscan aromas and flavours. A Tuscan scent at the Montrachet: 24th to 26th February Chef Francesco Berardinelli of Il Cavaliere di Castello di Gabbiano, will work to duet with the star Chef Luc Fiolé, in the kitchen of the restaurant Le Montrachet. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy an authentic Tuscan menu, paired with the prestigious wines of Castello di Gabbiano. Francesco’s recipes express his love for Tuscany and quality food: fresh and clean flavors that elevate the reputation of Italian cuisine.


The 2016 Chianti Classico Collection is not only the new vintages preview event, but also the opening of the celebration of a 300 year history wine. An appointment that you cannot miss!

On January 30th and 31st, 2016, in Siena, the Rocca Salimbeni, the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena historical headquarters, and the Grand Hotel Continental will host the first edition of Wine&Siena Event, wine festival that will expose best wine products of Italy and Toscana. Chianti Classico Riserva 2012 Castello di Gabbiano will be offered in the tasting proposed by the Consortium of Chianti Classico.

The Epiphany….

There’s a saying here in Italy that goes “L’Epifania, tutte le feste si porta via”, which means “Epiphany, carries away all festivities”. Basically it’s the last holiday just before going back to everyday life on the 7th January. According to the Italian tradition, the Befana is a very old woman who flies on a battered broom, visiting children on the night between the 5th and 6th of January (the night of the Epiphany), to fill the stockings left by them, usually

Let’s have a drink!

  Il Divino Dì In English “The diVine day”, it is the name (a pun based on Italian words assonance) of the aperitif events hold by Enoteca Gallo Nero, at MCF -Florence Central Market- on Thursdays evening, with Chianti Classico producers attendance. A good idea, a fine name, a beautiful location and also a good time for the events. So, we give you a first date THURSDAY November 19, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, at Enoteca Gallo Nero in the MCF.   In the evening when it is dark the light at our mill is still on. Our mill is working intensively: olives arrive twice a day, late morning and late evening, it does not stop until all the olives of the day have been processed, it is important that processing the oil is made as quickly as possible after harvest to ensure the highest quality oil.   Harvest Party for Gabbiano team A long, challenging and very satisfying season of hospitality, full of guests and events. A hard harvest, due to the varying weather, but that brought to the cellar excellent grapes. Then, the usual "Harvest Party" at the castle, where entire team participates every year with their families. A beautiful celebration, as always!  


NOT TO MISS : For those who will be in Florence, Sunday 8 and Monday 9 November , at the Stazione Leopolda: the A.I.S.(Italian Sommelier Association) will be present at the Food & Wine in Progress event with "The Excellence of Tuscany", which provides tastings of the best wines of the 150 Tuscan wineries which are part of the 2016 AIS Wine Guide . Of course, we will be there!

Saturday, September 26th Castello di Gabbiano will offer an interesting conference organized from the Municipality of San Casciano Val di Pesa, in collaboration with the Centro Studi Chiantigiani Clante and under the sponsorship of the Region of Tuscany. Some experts and researchers will contribute to speaking in terms of historical, archaeological and artistic heritage of the castles of Chianti, ancient fortified settlements that tell the story of a land!
