(…read here previous episodes)  Harvest is still on: we harvested about 5,000 quintals of grapes over 100 hectares - low yields (less than 45 quintals/hectare) our FORECAST is confirmed. In spite of the difficult vintage (a late spring frost, hot and dry summer…) some excellence is coming to the cellar!We are picking up the second choice (first quality) Sangiovese grapes,  it will then be the turn of Cabernet Sauvignon to  complete the harvest.In the oldest vineyards the Sangiovese - so delicate, sensitive, capricious but resolute - has unsheathed its defenses and has brilliantly recovered even under stress.It will tell us about this vintage too.
